I was a civil service aspirant about 15 years back and could not qualify despite scoring 1200. Now, I am finding that atleast for the past 5 years the cutoff for Gen candidates is hoveing around 1130-1140. Is it that the marking has got tough. If anyone can throw light I will be grateful, also indicate the preferable optionals in arts, as I need this input for my nephew.
